Specification Review Technician

Requirements:
Junior College in Electronics or other similar Engineering focus
Five years Electronics or Engineering experience, ability to read technical documents
PC literate Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Ability to communicate (verbal & written)
Working knowledge of source control drawings and military standards, i.e. 55681,49470, or IPC610
Detail oriented
Quality background helpful but not required
Must be able to physically operate various office machines including, PC, telephone, copier, etc. Also walk to other departments to perform various tests

Additional Information:
Review customer Specifications and translate them to JDI format, and enter them into customer specification review system (CSR)
Interface with other departments regarding product requirements
Generate drawings of JDI part numbers for customers. Cross reference other vendor part numbers
Communicate with Sales regarding quotes
Coordinate ROHS and REACH environmental/chemical reporting for customers using a number of different systems
Coordinate the annual evaluation of all manufacturing materials for environmental compliance
Work with Engineering team to develop new products and evaluate new materials
Perform experiments on parts using test equipment for product development and completion benchmarking
Occasionally communicate with customers and help put Catalog together
Create and/or maintain various reports as needed
Additional duties or functions may be assigned by supervisor
Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
